Text Box: From London and the South West go on to the M42 and leave it at exit 3, signed Birmingham South A435. Continue into Birmingham until you come to the first actual traffic lights (there are several pedestrian lights on route). You then turn left into Howard road (A4040).
From the North, with the repairs to Paradise Circus, it is far better to continue on to the M42 and avoid the city centre.
However, if you want to go through it, (allow for delays of up to 1 hr) leave the M6 where it is signed Birmingham Central A38(M), Junction 6 (Spaghetti Junction).
From the North via the A38 continue straight on, which will bring you to Spaghetti Junction. Again its best to use the M6 and M42.
If you take the A38M, when you see the sign End of Motorway keep in the right hand lane. This will take you over a flyover and under three underpasses and you will emerge into Bristol Street. Continue straight ahead through the first set of traffic lights into the Bristol Road A38. This is a major intersection. At the next set of traffic lights (1/2 mile) turn left. Go through the next lights (150 yards) and if you are on the correct road you will see the Edgbaston Cricket Ground on your left. At the first roundabout turn right into Russell Road which further along becomes Queensbridge Road. Turn right into Kings Heath High Street and carry on until you leave the shopping area. Then, at the bottom of the hill, turn right at the traffic lights into Howard Road.
