Derry and Debra Jones – The Woodman Folk Club (Organisers)

Kevin was briefly a member of the Woodman folk club he always enjoyed the friendly atmosphere and would often remain at the end of the evening chatting to the artists and other members.

His love of photography and folk music enabled him to take some remarkable photos on club nights.

He will be sadly missed by all who knew him. R.I.P. Kevin.

Bob Bignell – Bromsgrove Folk Club and Folk Festival (Organiser)

Sad news....I have just heard that Kevin Lewis, a regular at both the club and the festival became a victim of Covid 19 and passed away in the QE last night.  Kevin was a great advocate of the folk scene....his regular club was The Red Lion where he worked on the door and sold raffle tickets. He always took Bromsgrove leaflets to The Red Lion for distribution and always sat in the front row at Bromsgrove taking photographs.  Something of a character.... he will be sorely missed

I first met Kevin when I went to the Phoenix photography club in the 1980's. I remember he was a very keen photographer then. In recent years I saw him at folk festivals - he usually was in the middle of the front row in the concert tent, with his cameras. He always had time for a friendly chat

We are sorry to hear the sad news, as we were hoping that Kevin would pull through. He was a key member of the Red Lion Folk Club, working on the door and always ready to lend a helping hand. Kind to all those who came in contact with him, Kevin loved his music and will be sadly missed.

You will be sorely missed Kevin. Always ready for a cuppa and a chat. Kind hearted. We feel the loss greatly. He always spoke so much of the club.

He always made time for the little ones, and always greeted me with a hand shake and hug. Will miss the games and archery lessons.

He was always happy to come over to see us. He always looked on the light side. You could never find someone else like him. I will really miss him
